In a single excursion, 4 of the most beautiful places in Lower Cilento:

the Sanctuary of Maria SS. Di Pietrasanta, one of the seven Marian sanctuaries of Cilento, on a hill overlooking the Gulf of Policastro, with its Madonna carved directly into the rock by Italo – Greek monks in the 12th century;

the Plateau of Ciolandrea, “The Plateau of the Four Regions”, from which you can see the last part of Campania, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily with Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands, one of the most panoramic points in the whole Southern Italy, and Big Bench #307, by the American artist Chris Bangle;

Bosco,the nerve center of the Cilento Riots of 1828, the residence for 20 years of José Ortega, a Spanish painter and friend and disciple of Pablo Picasso, who gave Bosco an extraordinary series of majolica tiles recounting the 1828 massacre, and a series of works housed in the Museum that bears his name, one of the most precious art testimonies in Cilento.

Art, history, culture and nature intertwined in a very simple excursion suitable for everyone. The “small” size of the village and the museum allow you to enjoy a great example of absolutely unexpected art without wasting an entire day. The walk to the sanctuary and the plateau is onroad, therefore very easy and suitable for everyone, and does not require any specific equipment.
